On Saturday April 24 at 10am we had over 30 members join us on Zoom for our first ever  FVQG Sew In.

Demos on the new Window block, a star block for preemie quilts, and the really cool coffee and tea cup blocks for the Block of the Month were shown to us all.

Look on our preemie page to find the star block, the coffee and tea cups can be found under the Block of the Month tab and instructions for the Window block is in your May newsletter, which can be found under the Newsletter tab.

After 4 hours of chitter chatter, sewing, discussions on tools, discussions on fabric, and showing of finished Window blocks it was time to say goodbye.

All in all it was a great informal day and I think we should do it again!

Hello Ladies

10am Saturday April 24,2021, you will receive an invitation to join in a very informal first ever virtual ” FVQG SEW IN”

It will be via zoom, come as long as you want, stay a little as you want. The room will be open from 10am to 2pm.

We will be having a couple of short demonstrations, close to 10 am , Marion Cardenas will explain the Windows block, then Wendy Whiting will join us and demo the May “Preemie” block and perhaps we might get a demo on May’s “Block of the Month.”

The weather cooperated, social distancing was adhered to , over 200 preemies were donated, enough pillows to fill a pick up truck, library books returned, recycling perused, blocks of the month handed in, all in all another great success.

A lot of giggles and great conversations were had at our virtual Christmas meeting on zoom, with the use of breakout rooms we were able to have a few activities that caused lasting memories of a very different FVQG Christmas party.
